Walking/hiking:
Walkers of average ability can take walks to the Col Raiser, rich in alpine flora and the Sassolungo, one of the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites. Registered mountain guides take groups of individuals on mountain paths, fixed rope routes and even to the Marmolada Glacier. Cable cars/gondolas will normally open from the third week in June until the third week in September.
Mountain Biking:
The area of the 'pallid mountains' is one of the most favorites by the bikers. The many varied biking routes with their steep ups and downs surrounded by fantastic mountain scenery. The Val Gardena offers diverse mountain bike routes to meet every demand. The Dolomites passes are the biggest challenge for every biker since all times.
Four Dolomite passes in one day are only possible with a good condition and with a careful organization of the body energies. The annual 'Sella Ronda Bike Day' is a special experience, as the Passes of Sella, Gardena, Pordoi and Campolongo are closed for the traffic and exclusively opened for the bikers.
A further highlight is the driving round the mountain of Sassolungo. Following the traces of many mountain sport legends one will enjoy the outstanding panorama way passing directly below the steep rising Sassolungo. These rocky mountains are an exciting goal for adventurous mountain bike tours, as well as a leisurely routes for less experienced bikers.
A variety of biking tours are crossing green pastures with a fantastic flora, a marvelous eye candy for the bikers. Very original huts invite to stop for reinforcing and to taste the typical South Tyrolean delicacies.
